Fused magnesium phosphate fertilizer

1. PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Currently the company has:
- 3 blast furnaces producing fused phosphate fertilizer with a total capacity of 300,000 tons/year;
- 2 NPK fertilizer production lines with a total capacity of 200,000 tons/year;
Every year the company always invests and improves technological equipment, producing high quality products that meet and satisfy domestic and export product requirements.

2. FUSED MAGNESIUM PHOSPHATE FERTILIZER (FMP)
- Ninh Binh Fused Magnesium Phosphate product is a calcium - magnesium - silicon phosphate compound, produced by thermal method from natural minerals, without using chemicals during the production process.
- Ninh Binh fused magnesium phosphate fertilizer products comply with national technical regulations on fertilizer quality QCVN 01-189:2019/BNNPTNT.
- Ninh Binh fused magnesium phosphate fertilizer products are certified by organic certification agencies in Australia and New Zealand as suitable input products in organic agriculture.

3. MATERIALS USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF FUSED MAGNESIUM PHOSPHATE FERTILIZER

Apatite ore

- Is a natural mineral, containing phosphorus with a P2O5 content of 20% to 34%. Apatite ore is mined at Apatite mine in Lao Cai province, transported by rail to the Company.

Secpentine ore

- A natural mineral, rich in Magnesium Oxide (MgO) > 35% and Silicon (SiO2) > 36%. Secpentine ore is mined at Nong Cong, Thanh Hoa province, transported by car to the Company.

Sandstone Ore

- A natural mineral, very rich in silicon content (SiO2 > 90%). Sandstone ore is mined in Thanh Hoa province and transported by car to the Company.

Fuel (Anthracite coal)

- Use lump coal in Vang Danh, Uong Bi - Quang Ninh. It is a type of coal with high mechanical and thermal durability, with a particle size of 30-100mm, heat capacity > 7,000 kcal/kg, exploited and processed in Quang Ninh and transported by waterway from Quang Ninh Province to Ninh Binh.

4. METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF FUSED MAGNESIUM PHOSPHATE FERTILIZER
Using the heat of Antraxite coal, melt a mixture of Apatite, Secpentine, and Sandstone ores in a blast furnace at a temperature of 1.400 - 1.450°C, then cool suddenly with high pressure water to form a semi-finished product of phosphate fertilizer. melting (no chemicals are used in the production process).
After leaving the blast furnace, the semi-finished product of molten phosphate fertilizer is taken to the yard to be drained, then:

- Dry and sieve to form granular phosphate fertilizer (particle size < 3 mm).
- Dry and grind to form powdered phosphate fertilizer (particle size < 0.25 mm).
- Dry, sieve and put into pelleting machine with granulating agent, forming fused phosphate fertilizer in pellet form (particle size 2-5mm).

5. CHARACTERISTICS OF NINH BINH FUSED MAGNESIUM PHOSPHATE FERTILIZER 

It is a multi-nutrient fertilizer

- In addition to providing the main ingredient phosphorus (effective P2O5: 15% - 17%), the product also provides intermediate substances such as CaO (lime), MgO (Magnesium); SiO2 (Silicon) micronutrients: Mn, Cu, Zn, B, Fe, Mo..., (Total nutrient content over 95%).

De-acidification detoxifies the soil

- Fused phosphate fertilizer is alkaline pH > 8.5 (contains CaO = 28%-34%; MgO = 16%-20% so it has the effect of de-acidifying, suppressing alum, and detoxifying the soil).

6. CERTIFICATION AS SUITABLE INPUT PRODUCTS FOR ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

- On July 18 in 2017, FMP Ninh Binh was certified by the Australian Organic Certification Agency as an input product for organic agriculture.
- On August 1 in 2018, FMP Ninh Binh products were certified as input products for organic agriculture in New Zealand by BioGro New Zealand.
